Eddie’s first public exhibition ‘In and Out of the Public Eye’ featured intimate portraits of media stars, relaxing away from the studio. the exhibition was curated by multi award-winning photographer and former Guardian Picture Editor, Eamonn McCabe, a photographer Eddie has long admired.
Nick Hewer from ‘The Apprentice’, actor Hugh Quarshie, (Ric Griffin from BBC Holby City), Mark Austin, ITV News at Ten and BBC newsreaders Clive Myrie, Jane Hill and Louise Minchin featured.
The BBC’s top executives also took part. Director General Mark Thompson, Creative Director, Alan Yentob, Chief Creative Officer Vision Productions, Patrick Younge, Controller BBC 4, Richard Klein and Head of Newsgathering Fran Unsworth all relaxed in front of Eddie’s lens. He even persuaded Radio 1’s top DJ’s Trevor Nelson and Tim Westwood to pose as did rappers Donaeo and Wretch 32.
Eddie’s real skill is in capturing the character of his subjects, revealing hidden elements of these household names and influential people.
